Mission Statement:
The New York Veteran Police Association is a 501(C) (3) non-profit organization founded to provide support to all active and retired law enforcement officers, their families, and communities.

Thank you for visiting the New York Veteran Police Association (NYVPA), the oldest Veteran Police Association in the United States.

The New York Veteran Police Association was organized on January 7, 1891 and incorporated September 30, 1905. By engaging in your commitment to helping support the NYVPA you are assisting in not only benefiting the community as a whole but also providing the individuals it will help with invaluable resources.

The NYVPA staff consists of Volunteers and we solely rely on the public’s support to make our mission a success. Our board members come from various backgrounds of public safety and law enforcement.

The NYVPA has had some stellar men serving as its president over the years, the most recent of whom is Lou Telano.

Under Lou’s stewardship, The NYVPA is upholding its fine tradition of supporting all the fine men and women who have so bravely worn the shield and served our communities
